Portrait of John F. Weir. 1890. Zimmerman 60ii (of v), Flint 25. Drypoint printed in dark brown ink with plate tone, 200 x 152 mm (7 7/8 x 6"), trimmed along the platemark. Fine impression in very good condition. Annotated "state 2" in pencil at bottom of plate.

John Ferguson Weir, the artist's older brother, was also an artist and from 1869 until 1913 was Director of the Yale School of Fine Arts.
