LA BELLE DAME PARESSEUSE. 1894. Way 62. Lithograph, 234 x 173 mm (9 3/16 x 6 13/16"). Fine impression in very good condition. From the edition of 14 impressions printed by Goulding on 1904. The original edition of 25 impressions was printed by Way in 1896.

This 1894 work shows Whistler's wife Beatrix sitting in an armchair at the beginning of her convalescence. She died of cancer in 1896.
