mm (7 5/16 x 9 7/16”) trimmed to oval borderline and
window-mounted to an old album leaf. A fine, early impression
in very good condition.
Provenance:
Urbania (not in Lugt).
This is one of eight engravings after Primaticcio's designs
for the ceiling of the Galerie d'Ulysse at Fontainebleau (of
which four were ovals).
